Support for Hatboro Police Officer Ryan Allen

Officer Ryan Allen joined the Hatboro Police Department in 2013. In addition to his patrol duties, Officer Allen has served as a field training officer, member of the Montgomery County Drug Task Force, and is the department’s first aid and CPR instructor.

Officer Allen was instrumental in establishing the department’s first police canine program. He and his canine partner Louie, a German Shepard trained in patrol and narcotics detection, are a fixture in town.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, Officer Allen was stung by a bee and suffered a very severe reaction resulting in cardiac arrest.

The heroic efforts of his wife and first responders restored his heartbeat. Officer Allen remains in stable, but critical condition at the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia where his wife, child, and unborn baby remain by his side.

Officer Allen’s family, friends, and coworkers appreciate the thoughts and prayers that have been offered.

The Montgomery County Hero Fund is providing support and relief to Officer Allen’s family during this difficult time. The purpose of the fund is to provide immediate and ongoing relief and services to any law enforcement officer, military personnel, firefighter and EMS personnel, and their families during times of crisis.
